I am a political scientist working on political organisations and their strategies, political mobilisation and social science methodology.

I studied politics and history at the universities of Aachen, Prague and Potsdam between 2003-2010. After that I combined my interest (and knowledge from previous studies) in mathematics and programming with my social science background and my passion for the mechanisms of political organisations. In 2017, I obtained my PhD with a work on “Young people in old politics” from the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Duisburg-Essen. I am interested in the individual perspective on institutional and organisational dynamics, and especially in how to measure and analyse it based on rich qualitative and quantitative data.

I work as a Senior Advisor in the student support department of the Hans Böckler Foundation, an organisation I have been working for since 2010. Previous work included several applied research projects for political parties and trade unions as well as positions as trainer and advisor in the area of quality assurance in higher education. I am trained in diversity oriented career coaching, peer coaching and in solution focused counseling, all with a special focus on students and young researchers.
